About this freebie
This free layered page template helps you build a layout quickly. The download includes 9 PNG layers sized at 3600 x 3600 pixels, which prints at 12 x 12 inches at 300 dpi. You get a background, six gray photo spots, a title placeholder, and a journaling strip. A flattened JPG guide and text file are also included to help you build everyday and travel albums.
Ideas for using it
- Use the large 6.6 x 4.8 inch spot for a favorite vacation portrait. Fill the smaller spots with detail shots of food or scenery.
- Document a busy afternoon by placing sequential action shots into the 3.5 x 3.5 inch square photo spots.
- Create an everyday layout about your morning routine. Clip patterned digital papers to a few of the photo spots instead of using pictures.
- Build a title graphic in the title spot and write the story of your trip on the journaling strip layer.
How to use it
- Stack the 9 PNG files in your software using the order listed in the included text file. The background layer goes at the bottom.
- Read our guide on how to use page templates for specific steps on placing your pictures into the gray shapes.
- Place your photo directly above the gray shape in the layers panel. Learn more in our guide with clipping masks explained.
- The downloaded ZIP file is about 0.6 MB. Extract the folder to your computer before trying to open the PNG layers in your editing program.
- Place every PNG layer at the top left corner of a 12 x 12 inch, 300 dpi page and they line up.
- Clip a paper or a photo to each gray shape, then delete or hide the gray.
