About this freebie

The Circle Focus Template is a free layered page template for your everyday digital scrapbooking. The 0.6 MB download includes 8 PNG layers sized at 12 x 12 inches and 300 dpi. The design features a large 6.8 inch circle photo spot with a mat, plus two small accent circles.

You will find gray shapes marking spots for your background paper, a title, and journaling. It also comes with a flattened guide JPG and a text file listing the layer order. This simple layout works well for highlighting a single favorite photo.

Ideas for using it

  1. Document a fun afternoon in the garden. Place a bright floral pattern in the background and a close-up picture of a blooming flower in the large circle photo spot.
  2. Create a birthday layout for a friend or family member. Put a portrait of the birthday person in the center and use the small accent circles for pictures of cake or balloons.
  3. Make a quick page about a new pet. Use the large 6.8 inch circle for a sleeping puppy photo and fill the accent circles with solid colors to match your background paper.

How to use it

  • Stack the 8 PNG layers in your software using the included text file as a guide. The background goes on the bottom and journaling sits on top.
  • Learn how to use page templates to speed up your crafting. You can clip your own digital papers to the gray shapes to customize the layout.
  • Use clipping masks to attach your picture to the circle-photo layer. You can read a tutorial with clipping masks explained to learn this simple technique.
  • You can use this free file for personal layouts and for cards you sell or give away. The original files themselves may not be shared or sold.
  • Place every PNG layer at the top left corner of a 12 x 12 inch, 300 dpi page and they line up.
  • Clip a paper or a photo to each gray shape, then delete or hide the gray.
