About this freebie

This free download features two lined 4x6 inch printable recipe cards on a standard US Letter page. The design uses a warm palette of ivory, tomato red, leaf green, sunflower, sky, and charcoal. You will receive a 1 page PDF at 300 dpi, plus the same page as image files. These cards are perfect for recording favorite meals for your family albums or creating handmade gifts. The 8.5 x 11 inch sheet includes light dashed cutting lines to help you trim the cards out neatly.

Ideas for using it

  1. Print these cards to write down your favorite holiday meals and slip them into pocket pages in your recipe binders.
  2. Create a thoughtful gift by filling out a stack of these 4x6 inch cards with classic family recipes and tying them with ribbon.
  3. Use the cards as journaling blocks on your traditional scrapbook layouts to document the story behind a special dinner.
  4. Add a printed recipe card to the front of a handmade greeting card for a friend who loves to cook.

How to use it

  • Print the PDF on heavy white cardstock at 300 dpi for sturdy cards that will hold up well in the kitchen.
  • Use a metal ruler and a craft knife along the light dashed cutting lines to get perfectly straight 4x6 inch edges.
  • If you want to learn more about printing at home vs photo lab, check your printer settings to ensure you print at actual size.
  • You can open the image files in your photo editing software to type your recipes onto the lines before printing.
  • Print at 100 percent (actual size) so the cards keep their size.
  • Matte cardstock gives the best result for cards and tags; do a test print on plain paper first.
