Our Family Kit

About this freebie

The Our Family Kit is a free digital scrapbook kit designed for your everyday memories. The color palette features warm cream, terracotta, sage, honey, denim and walnut. You get 6 JPG papers sized at 12 x 12 inches, including a classic plaid, floral, kraft, polka dots, stripes and a solid terracotta.

The download also includes 12 elements to decorate your pages. These transparent PNG items come with a soft drop shadow already applied. You will find a Home Sweet Home label, frames, buttons, a paper flower and a journaling card to document your family life.

Ideas for using it

1. Create a heritage page using the walnut and kraft papers as a background for your vintage photographs.
2. Frame a candid snapshot from a weekend afternoon using the denim blue paper and the Home Sweet Home label.
3. Document a funny story about your children on the Our story journaling card, adding the leaf sprig and paper flower for decoration.
4. Make a greeting card to give away, layering the plaid paper with the sticker heart and the word art together.

How to use it

• The 12 elements are transparent PNG files at 300 dpi. You can drag and drop them directly onto your 3600 x 3600 pixels layout.
• Since the elements already have a soft drop shadow, you do not need to add your own shadow effects in your photo editing software.
• You can resize the 6 JPG papers to fit a smaller canvas if you prefer making standard greeting cards instead of 12 x 12 inches layouts.
• The 11.2 MB ZIP file needs to be extracted before you can use the files. Right-click the folder and choose the extract option.
• Everything in a kit shares one palette, so any paper works with any element in it.
• Elements already carry a soft shadow; on busy papers you can add a little more.
